WEATHERS, GET NUTRITION TIPS, HAVE FUN! Established in 2006 in Chorleywood Stones Outdoor Fitness was developed by Helen Stone, a radiographer with 18 years experience in the fitness industry. Stones outdoor fitness is designed to make a difference to not only your health and fitness but to encourage lifestyle change. Stones Outdoor Fitness uses the countryside, hills, benches and logs through all the seasons in all weathers making natures gym a studio everyone wants to join. This is effective, social, energy boosting for the mind and body giving a personal fitness training session in a group environment outdoors. Since 2006 Stones outdoor fitness has been part of individual weight loss goals, helped the non-exerciser enjoy fitness, taken people from the treadmill to the outdoors, made the infrequent runner a marathon runner, the 2mph walker a 4mph walker, the new mum learn correct walking skills for buggy walking, improved the strength, flexibility and postural awareness of many by creating a fabulous environment in the outdoors with fitness improvement developing naturally. Different terrain and routes make every workout achievable for all abilities as you circuit the area in all weathers. Why Group Outdoor Fitness?It’s GREEN - not just the trees and fields. No electricity, no power showers, no air conditioning. The sunlight stimulates our bodies to make VITAMIN D, essential for bone growth and organ health. High levels can alleviate depression and decrease insomnia. In winter, daylight hours are limited. An hour outside can stimulate the mind, raise the mood and help us feel alert. Being outdoors will increase our capacity to absorb and utilise oxygen so it reaches our cells and body tissues more quickly. The group environment will bring you support, encouragement and the motivation with personal achievement to follow.
